General Terms and Conditions of Sale & Cancellation

1. Purpose
These terms govern rental requests for the villa Ghalya in Djerba (Tunisia) and associated services (partner restaurant delivery, excursions, concierge service, nanny, water activities, driver, laundry), offered by M. Mohamed Ali Ben Younes, a private individual.

3. Booking request
The website allows users to send a booking or quotation request. Submitting the form does not automatically confirm the stay: each request is manually reviewed and a response is provided within 24 hours, subject to availability.
4. No online payment
No payment is collected on the website. Payments are made offline, by: cash, bank transfer, or money transfer (MoneyGram, Western Union). The exact terms are communicated to the client before confirmation.
5. Prices, deposit and balance
The prices displayed are indicative and confirmed in the response to the request. A 30% deposit may be requested to secure the dates; the balance is paid upon arrival, unless otherwise agreed and communicated to the client.
6. Security deposit
A security deposit may be requested upon arrival and returned upon departure after the inventory/check-out inspection, less any damages or breaches observed.
7. Confirmation
The booking becomes firm only after written confirmation (email or WhatsApp) and, where applicable, receipt of the deposit.
8. Cancellation
For guidance only: cancellation more than 30 days before arrival — deposit refunded excluding any applicable fees; between 7 and 30 days — deposit retained; less than 7 days — 50% of the stay due. Any cancellation must be made in writing to reservation@theislandofdjerba.com.
9. Client obligations
The client provides accurate information, respects the villa, the neighbourhood, the instructions and the approved number of guests. Any unauthorised subletting or event may be refused or charged.
10. Liability and force majeure
Liability is limited to the services confirmed in writing. In the event of force majeure, the parties shall seek a reasonable solution (postponement, modification).
11. Applicable law
Tunisian law. In the event of a dispute, an amicable solution shall be sought before any proceedings before the competent courts in Tunisia.
